The biggest opportunity relevant to our times is the main one suggested on the index page for a local self-sufficiency initiative.
Employment opportunity
If you are friendly, have any BS degree (US expression), are a native English speaker and you want to escape the crushing depression and get away for awhile to make some money we have a good contact in Saudia Arabia looking for about twenty teachers. See his appeal at http://teachers.net/states/ks/topic399/11.15.10.16.17.14.html/.

Ideas for business opportunities
Putting some Chinese onto your company web site
The easiest way to begin marketing in China is to put some Chinese text and keywords onto your company web site. This allows companies in China who search for Western partners, whether suppliers or agents, to more easilly find you. An experienced Chinese translator in Ireland can do this for you.
Do business with China
China is still booming with a growth of 8% in 2009. An experienced Irish professional, based both in Wexford and Dalian in China, who speaks Chinese, would be happy to represent Irish companies who want to export to or import from China.
Top soil.
Where there is a need or a new trend there is an opportunity. Here is an idea with both. Suddenly people in towns and villages and especially in the countryside are developing vegetable gardens. Farmers are letting land in allotments. Most new gardens could benefit from raised beds and some are fairly useless without them. They can be made with or without borders (such as simply sloped). There are mountains of top soil sitting around near completed and uncompleted buildings. Yes, transport is a cost factor but so great is the new demand that much of what is required locally may have to be transported over short distances only.
If you have topsoil that you can transport email us and we will advertise it free here. Or simply put ads in local shops.
SGW Percolations have top quality top soil for sale at http://www.sgwpercolations.ie
